Identifying your oil filter type for decal purposes:
Though all 356 and 912 models will take the same part number filter, the decals were used to show the original supplier to Porsche®. The early 356 pre-A and 356A used primarily Mann filters. The Mann filter housing is usually identified by a 10mm bolt used to hold the filter lid on. The most common filter types will be the H-filter and the Fram filter. The H-filter will use a 16mm bolt to attach the lid to the canister, and the Fram filter will use a 12mm bolt. While you can also use the canister/ lid colors to determine the original supplier, it is best to use the bolt sizes because the paint can be wrong.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a distributor spring, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
