Porsche Front Suspension
Front Suspension and Steering Parts
The front suspension system used on the Porsche air cooled models from 1948-89 in the 356, 914, 912, 911, and 930 models is an independent torsion bar system. From 1989 on in the 964/962 and 993 range the suspension system was changed to a coil over strut type of suspension. Here at Partsklassik we carry replacement parts for both types of suspension systems.
In the 356 models a steering box was used versus a the later models’ rack and pinion steering systems. Typically the 356 models have many more moving parts to the steering system, resulting in more areas to wear. Steering parts can vary considerably across the models, so please check fitment info carefully.
