STE brand, made in Germany carburetor synchrometer This synchrometer has a rubber base and fits the weber IDA and the Weber IDF with no adaption needed. On the Solex P40-II it is good to go on the 912 where there are small air horns. For Solex P40-II on the 356 where there is no small air horn, it may be best to add the adaptor STE18 which holds the synchrometer up higher with a shallow reach. If you want to use this synchrometer on a Zenith 32NDIX, you can add the adaptor STE11 which will enlage the opening for the bigger top. The correct synchrometer for the Zenith 32 is the high volume STE BK as you are reading two cylinders at one time, therefore measuring a higher air volume. This is a must for performing tuning work on carbureted or mechanical injected engines with independent idle air adjustments. This is the tool we use in the shop to set all four and six cylinder engines using multi barrel carburetors or fuel injection. We use four or six at a time so that we can see air flow on all cylinders at once. However for the home mechanic one will work; you will just have to move the tool from throat to throat while you adjust the air flow on each cylinder. The tool comes with detailed instructions on how to use it, along with a list of available adapters to fit a wide variety of vehicles.
Aftermarket Our founders have worked on Porsche cars for decades. They've tried most of our aftermarket products first hand on real cars. Some parts are no longer made by an O.E.M company, or the price difference between genuine and aftermarket has become so large that it makes sense to take the savings. If you have any questions about an aftermarket product, please contact us.
