Description

Product Description:

Distributor Sliding Surface
These are a must to make your cast iron distributor function correctly. They are made from the correct thickness and grade of phenolic material like the original plates. They will not curl up around the weights like the Teflon plates do, and they will withstand the engine heat.

For Bosch® ignition distributors on Porsche models, including the VE 383, BR9, BR18, 022, and the 159/169 series. Some trimming may be required on the later distributor models.

Sold per each.

I bought some of the first of these factory quality replacement sliding surfaces, as soon as Kurt offered them. He sold the first ones, at a Hershey event, and I caught him as he drove home, to make the purchase. I had just built 2 912 distributors, for 912 BBS members, using the then Teflon parts, and had one fail before I got it off the dist. Machine. I replaced the part with these new offerings, and that 022 Bosch unit has been in service since, in a '67 912, now, in its 2nd engine, and doing well. These are all I've used since, Thanks, Kurt, a job well done! Mike (TX)
