Identifying your oil filter type for decal selection:
Though all 356 and 912 models will take the same part numbered filter, the decals were used to show the original supplier to Porsche®. The early 356 pre A and 356A used primarily Mann filters. The Mann filter housing is usually identified by a 10m/m bolt used to hold the filter lid on. The most common filter types are the H-filter and the Fram filter. The H-filter will use a 16m/m bolt to attach the lid to the canister, and the Fram filter will use a 12m/m bolt. Though you can also use the canister and lid colors to indicate what the original supplier was, it is best to use the bolt sizes in case of incorrect repainting.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a distributor spring, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
